'Sometimes "Anonymous" is me when I forget to sign in, and sometimes it is Jan who drops in to respond to comments from time to time. But mostly it is you.'

Who? Me? WOW, Mechtild! That's great. I do adore Frodo, and very much appreciate your screencaps, your thoughtful, perceptive commentaries and Jan's powerful poems. You both appear to have a 'feeling,' for Frodo that I share ~ though the two of you articulate your thoughts far more eloquently than I ever could. I am a fan!

'Actually, both EW and SA are such good 'eye-actors', they do as much in their reaction shots (which tend to focus on their eyes), if not more, than they do when they are the ones lines!'

Oh I agree, and I do love those two together. As both actors stated often enough during interviews etc. their off-screen 'brotherly' relationship reflected the mutual affection of their characters, and it shows on-screen. Perfect casting.

And now, I am off to take a peep at your new kitties...

Yes, I think their offscreen friendship did come through. Also, their absolute zeal. They couldn't have been more gung-ho, throwing themselves into their work and into just being there.

It occurred to me, Blossom, that we're talking about their "eye acting". It made me think of tgshaw and "eyebrow acting". Remember?

Of course! There was many a discussion on 'eyebrow acting' in the old Faculty Lounge at KD. (Happy days!) But then EW's eyebrows are very expressive.
