I have been admiring your screencaps for a long time now, so I just want to say thank you for sharing them! I can't even remember how I found your journal, but I'm glad I did, because of your screencaps and the thoughts you share about the films and the books. I'm also a huge fan of jan-u-wine's poems. It seems to me that she has found 'Frodo's voice'. The 'Frodo in my heart' could certainly have thought and felt those things she writes about. And it is not nearly enough of Frodo's thoughts and feelings in the books imo!

Gosh, thank you, Tomasine. I'll have to send Jan an email telling her to come take a look in here. She's not on LJ, but she looks if she know to look. She really does have a great feel for "Frodo's voice", I agree. I have asked her if she channels him, lol. :)

Dear Tomasine, there just isn't a nicer compliment than this. Frodo has long been a beloved "voice" in my life, and it's an honor and a joy to write these behind-the-scenes bits, especially when they may be paired with Mechtild's wonderful images and essays.

thank you very much!

On the third day there was Slash and it was good.

Hun, would be ok if I pimped your journal in a post? I already got the ok from not_alone to pimp her. I'd like to show everyone where many of my images in my archive have come from.

Be my guest! That is most kind of you, Random. Have you noticed the sidebar links with "screencaps"? (Often the width of the center content bar becomes so wide with images it gets pushed down to the bottom.) There is a link list for the tables of screencaps there, according to the three films, plus behind the scenes.

Wow! Beautiful!

I was recc'ed your journal to add and was hoping it was okay to do that.

Feel free to add me if you like.

Please feel free, Tariana. I like to think of this LJ as a retreat center, and resource, for Frodo fans. If you haven't noticed, there are handy links in the side bar (which, unfortunately, is often bumped down to the very bottom of posts because of the width of the pictures), which hook readers up to tables of links (with thumbnails) for the various sets of screencaps, Frodo manips, entries, with Jan's poems, etc. I found after a while I couldn't find anything, so I made the tables.

Oh wow, these are gorgeous! I have never seen the scene where he walks out on the balcony before, always only when he is outside already. And I love the ones with him and Sam. Thank you!!!

Next year,
assuredly, I shall remember.

Next year,

in a moment shared out
betwixt remembrance
and regret,

between joy and pain

I shall see home
again.

Wonderful poetry and gorgeous images. Thank you both.

I’m glad that you two talented ladies met, through Live Journal.

Estë, how lovely to see you! And thanks so much for the comment. I'll let Jan know you've commented.

I hope it's springy there. It almost was here; the snow is almost entirely melted. But looking at the forecast, I see a week of "snow mixed with rain" is in the forecast. UGH. More shovelling and scraping, just when I wanted to finally get in and tidy the bedraggled gardens!

I’m still not ready to be cured of the one obsession to rule them all.

It certainly is springy here, Mechling. It comes in fits and starts. One day can be warm and sunny, quickly followed by a windy day, with snow falling and settling for a day or two, then washed away by an April shower.

It’s difficult to know what to wear to work because it can be cold in the early morning and then warm mid-day. I’m still wearing boots to work but they are much too warm to wear travelling home again.

The blue wood anemones are already blooming (see avatar).

Can you believe it? We had a "little" blizzard yesterday, after all the snow had finally melted. But it's supposed to be in the 50's this week (F), so it should melt quickly. The robins had shown up before the blizzard. We watched them sheltering in the fir trees, the branches blowing around. They looked very disgruntled, all puffed up against the cold.

Dear Este, I am so very happy that you enjoyed the poem! And I am grateful to Mech for providing such a beautiful *frame* for these works and thankful for her wonderful friendship. She's a jewel amongst friends!
