There isn’t any theme to this group. I just like them. I have titled them according to the extra from which they come. As before, all the caps have been cropped and tweaked for sharper focus and better lighting.

It's wonderful to see these, and re-live the magic making!

Aren't they great? (If I do say so myself...) I have loved "watching" Not Alone's "Journey of Frodo" series, which has great behind-the-scenes caps. All the more have I loved being able to look at these caps at my leisure, but wish Not Alone were here to provide all the copy! :)

He's lovely! What a sweet young man.

I didn't realize the surfing pics were in the extras! You forget something new everyday. :)

I hope I have time to look at your whole series. With my slow connection, I have to view files judiciously. ;)

"A sweet young man". I think that says a lot, Mariole. He really *does* look "sweet", doesn't he? Yes, the surfing pictures were in the extras. A few surfing pics might have appeared in the FotR extras, too, but I haven't capped the FotR EE extras extensively.

If your connection is slow, and you really want to look at all these pics, let me know, Mariole.

I'll bet, Luthien! I had various ones from these groups, too, but none of them large, and not this many. It was fun making them and filling up the files, like a basket with eggs.

Oh, what a lovely set of caps! I remember the first time I saw the video of the script read-through on DVD, I gasped out loud at how incredibly beautiful Elijah was. And of course, the Sam's-last-scene ones make me wibble like a fool. :-) Thanks for posting!

[edited for misleading typo; no, they were not in a coach, they were on a couch]

Hi, Elycia. Yes, the scene reading the script on the couch. To think that when I first saw it (it's included in the extras on the FotR EE, too, if I recall) I was *unmoved*. I wasn't yet a film-Frodo maenad. But it's seeing the scene as caps that really does it for me; it happens so quickly in the actual footage otherwise. I love to linger over what a changeling he looks in these frames. "What heaven did he fall out of????"

Thank you! Some very lovely shots. It's amazing how much detail is uncovered when you've taken the time to screencap it so thoroughly. Moments that fly by on screen have so much more to enjoy. Many thanks!

I like being able to "stop time" in screencaps, too, Alien Soul Dream. In a way, it distorts reality, making an fleeting expression or a fragment of a gesture look more meaningful than it is by isolating them from a fuller sequence. But these little glimpses, frozen in time, do capture my imagination in a unique way.

I love love love the extras. Thank you for the revist. I think sometime this spring or summer I am going to have myself another viewing party--even if it's just me!! I've wanted to hold off for awhile, to make it all fresh again. When I see you pictures I get all smiley and goosebumpy--I think the time is right!!

Ohhh, a summer viewing fest sounds just the thing! I always feel like it's summer in the extras, even when it's grey and raining, simply because the cast and crew are so fired up.

Oooh, I'm soooo happy you made these screencaps!!! I only had a few of these!!! Thank you so very much!!!

I had a few of them, too, but smaller, and not in sequences. I love it when I can see a "moment" develop from shot to shot. Some of these are just singles, of course.
