Mechtild, I have just discovered your LJ (via Mews's rec), & I am just blown away by your glorious screencaps, jan-u-wine's lovely poems, & the very perceptive discussions that arise from them. Can I friend you, so as to be sure not to miss anything? Especially when you do "that look" between Sam & Frodo, which is probably my favourite moment from the whole trilogy.

You may certainly friend this journal, Telstar, although this project is nearly finished, so you might as easily bookmark the main screencap table of links, and it would accomplish the same thing. I update the links list right after I post.

Thank you for commenting!

nearly finished

What does this mean, dear Mechtild?

Re: "nearly finished"

I only meant the screencap project was nearly finished, not the journal. I've been making the screencap posts for over a year and a half, and I think I've nearly finished screencapping the Frodo scenes that interest me. I have four more posts in the works, and then, I imagine, I'll do a few more "pick-ups", unable to resist going back to scenes I bypassed before.

So my point was that if you were friending the LJ to get the posting notices for the screencap entries in particular, they were nearly finished and it might be as easy to bookmark the main page of links (it's at the bottom of every screencap post, and the links are also in the side bar, even though the side bar usually gets pushed down to the very bottom of every entry because of the width of the images). I have a page that links to main categories of entries, and one of them is for the screencaps. That page--because there are now so many links and I use pictures to be the links--has been further subdivided into links for each of the films, plus a page of behind-the-scenes and miscellaneous caps.

Again, you are very welcome to friend the LJ!

Re: nearly finished

P.S. "Anne" - I answered your post assuming you are "Telstar", because of where your comment was placed, and merely forgot to log in. But are you someone else, someone who is not Telstar?
