Re: Welcome back.

Yes - I live in South Wales. The small town of Caerphilly, famous for it cheese and Castle. :D
You can see a bit of it here;

I always think I live a long way from London (about 4 Hours by road ) but when you say the distances you have to travel to the nearest City I realise how small the UK is !
Several Cinemas are within a 45 minute journey from me and usually all the films released in the UK are shown.
You have made me appreciate where I live even more.

Re: Welcome back.

Thankyou, Linden/quicksilver. I have heard of Caerphilly, of course, because of the cheese. *grin*

When I said I drove all that way to see the films, I misled you. We have three multiplexes here, actually, but they all are poor to mediocre in the quality of their screening facilities. When RotK came out, I wanted to see it in a quality theater enough that I was willing to drive to Minneapolis/St. Paul (the "twin cities"), which is 165 miles away to do so. It is true, however, that we never get any unusual films here, just the films that play at multiplex chains. I had hoped Elijah Wood's recent two films would at least play in Minneapolis, but, alas, neither of them did. There are two million people living in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. It has a museum, a symphony; a little rock and film industry. Wouldn't you think SOME theater would have been showing them? There even are several colleges and universities there, which usually means the chances are good for theatres that play small and foreign films. But, nope.

Lucky you to live in a place where there are people to make a go of such venues.
