Thanks again for all you wonderful screencaps and very interesting essays. I do admire your patience!

I totally agree with what you say about the book scene being superior to the film scene. But I have to admit that every time I look at Frodo's face, my critical mind disappears into thin air and I can only stare at him in open-mouthed admiration...

My admiration for that face has to be pretty impressive, or I wouldn't be doing this, ey, Bagma? Seriously, though, if I am sorry about the scene, it is only because didn't do better by Frodo. Film Frodo always *looks* sensational, and EW always gives his all in his scenes, but sometimes the material just isn't there for him the way it should have been.

I suppose one of the results of making the screencaps and presenting them--going over the scenes again in detail, book and film--is that I see not only how wonderful this or that scene is, but how lacking some were, at least in some respects. So I reserve the right to pine for might-have-beens with my mind, while *The Face* still fills my eyes and engages my heart, body; even soul.
