Your 'Limited Edition' LotR screencaps has been a wonderful ride, Mech!
Particularly these two last entries are very beautifull and enligthening of the acting process.

I'm such a enthusiast of the movie "making of" that sometimes I enjoy them more than some films.
Thank you so much: you gave the possibility to take a glance at the new documentary also to us, poor fellows of region 2. :-(

P.S. and yes, you are a fomenter! You know, under the influence of your screencaps, when I heard that european 'Limited Edition' 'release has been delayed till 16 May 2007, I deleted my pre-order and now I'm happily waiting my region 1 copy! :) *is nut and happy*

What is region 1 and 2? Does that apply for DVD's, not just videos??? Dang! There are so many films I've wanted to buy off Ebay that were available in video but only Region 2. I thought the DVD's would be different. Boo hoo hoo!

These were, perhaps, my favourite images of Frolijah I've ever seen, Estelanui. The bottom series, especially .... I think they are mesmerizing.

You can find here information about the crappy region DVD division of the world.

This division is a 'clever' idea that bring more money in the pokets of the production and distribution companies and give you the possibility to pay more for a DVD. :(
Region 1 is for US and Canada, 2 for Europe and Japan, etc. There are multiregional DVD players, but in some Country (i.e Italy) the selling is illegal. It's possible to find on internet the methods to switch the DVD players from a region to another, but not always it works.
Another possibility is to use the DVD of the PC because the region switch is easyer but --be careful-- you can do only 5 switches!
I have a PC permanently set on region 1 and my DVD player on reg. 2.

Globalization?!? what is it? :)

That is SO stupid! I suppose they sell a few more players that way, but it would massively increase the sales of movies from around the world if they could be played in any machine.

Estelanui, I wanted to let you know that Wendy, a fellow-Frodo fan, just photoshopped one of the bottom images to make some distinctive, striking effects with it. You might want to take a look at them. I added the link into the entry above.
