Let me know if you find any new seriously foot-fur-reducing positions. ;)

Este, thank you for asking, but I wasn't going to post about my trip. There weren't any very interesting pictures and not much happened that would have been of wide interest. My mother is about the same; pretty good health but very creaky. It takes her forever to get up out of a chair or out of the car, her joints are so stiff and painful. Her speech is still not up to par. Her mind is lively and clear, but she has the thing where she can't remember the names of things - nouns, proper or improper. Drives her nuts. I've had it for years. "I just love that actor! You know, what's-his-name, who was in that movie called - what was it called - you know, the one where the ship sinks." That sort of thing. My brother, who is very well-off and has no children, took us all for three day trips on his new very expensive high performance boat. It was rather fun to hang on while he did 50 - 70 miles per hour up the Potomac River up to Washington D. C. The Nine Companions could have used it on the Anduin, although every orc in Middle-earth would have heard them coming. Unfortunately I fell down climbing into it on the second day trip, spraining muscles in my calf. It still hurts two weeks later. I thought I had broken it! Just too old for speed boats.

I shall let you know.

IIRC the position of Rosamunda’s feet, in your latest chapter of Threshold *oh sigh*, could actually rub off the hair on her instep. :-D *contemplates growing hair or getting hair-implant on instep*

I’m glad that everything is good with your Mother. I am sorry to hear that you injured yourself in your brother’s boat. Hope it mends soon. Perhaps Frodo could give you a rub with Estë’s lavender paste. It might help. And if it does not, repeat the rub on a daily basis until it does.

We had a speedboat a few years ago and later a diesel boat that chugged along at a slow pace (hey! guess what? you actually get to see the scenery). Now we get by with a boat that has an outboard motor attached. I remember that when we were out in the speedboat, in order to save on petrol costs, we had to go fast. I was bounced about so much that I had a sore bum at the end of our 'jaunt on the briny'. Good thing that the life-jacket kept my boobs in check. *grin*

Well, it's good to know your boobs are intact at this time!

Actually, the boat was not rough at all. Only when we went over someone else's wake did it bounce, which I and Rachel thought quite fun. My brother drove, mostly, and my husband leaned/sat in the cushy first mate's chair abreast of him, and Rachel and I stood behind them holding onto the grip bars behind their seats feeling like chariot racers in Ben Hur. It we felt like it, we could sit on the back seat, very cushy, and still hold onto the grip bars. The Potomac is such a broad river below Washington D.C., looking at scenery is fine going at high speeds. Like driving down a highway in a very broad, flat valley.

Here's a link to a boat like my brother's. I think it gets 1 mile to a gallon, seriously. Hardly a proper toy in today's fuel-starved world. But he bought it just before the gas crisis got intense.

Rosamunda's feet in the last chapter? Ch. 14? I don't think her insteps were getting a work out in that one. Bilbo even thought it seemed as if the soles of her feet were pressed together somewhere under Frodo. I believe you may be thinking of Ch. 12, with "hanging onto his mare of choice" Frodo. (Possibly my favourite of all their erotic interludes.)

Is there such a thing as Lavendar Paste for soothing rubs? If anyone would know, you would. Igraine wrote a ficlet last week in which Sam gives Frodo a rub with a mash of strawberries (his feet, but Sam leaves the hair on Frodo's insteps). It was extremely well-done, I thought. That Igraine; it's wonderful the way she can be so sensuous, yet so intelligent in her writing at the same time.

Mechtild, thank you for the link. I was in a bit of a rush on Friday, hubby was coming through the door (...? ) so I could not answer all your questions.

Firstly your brother's boat is fantastic. It makes the one we had look like a toy. Ours was very small, hence all that bouncing around.

There is something that I use 'Lavender Salve' from Rose and Co. Very useful on dry lips, sores and scratches. I love their presentation theme. Twenties-flapper.

"hanging onto his mare of choice" Frodo.

Now that’s the kind of bouncing around I approve of :-D

I opened your link. I loved the animation of the lady walking down the street with her dog wearing a loincloth (her, not the dog).

After all that I forgot to put in the link to the boat!

Thank you Mechtild!
Wow that is a wonderful piece of equipment.

Speaking of which; I took another look at your manip and have just noticed the fold on the white - whatever it is - and it actually resembles a penis - glans and all. *blush* It's probably only me looking too closely.

I'm off for the week-end enjoy yourself

What's this? What's this? I missed something that good? I'll have to put it on "zoom"! How naughty of Bouguereau, if so. But don't apologize for staring. Remember that beautiful, atmospheric Frodo manip by Bandwench I presented here recently?

An e-friend looked at it and she must have better eyes. "Did you notice that drip on the end of Frodo's penis?" No, I hadn't! I put on my up-close glasses. What was it, I wondered -- pre-ejeculatory fluid (Frodo washes up, before embarking on hot tryst)? Seminal leakage (Frodo washes up after amazing orgasm in the bushes)? Or a tampon string (Frodo in an Mpreg story)? I emailed Bandwench, who said I was a naughty thing. It was just water, like the rest of the drips on his body. She couldn't resist doing one on his penis, she said. Haw haw!

You mean that knob of cloth canting to the right? It does look rather suggestive, doesn't it.... No wonder Frodo is laughing, all those thrills at the chafing of the linens as he rocks his hips into the fabric, trapped between him and the bacchante. Heavens, it HAS been a long time since I wrote a sex scene!

Yes that's it. There is even a tiny slit in the top - if you really really take a close look.

I'm off to investigate Bandwench's wet dream ;-)
