NF-Lee's Gildor and Frodo

More re-dos ~ Bree Gate scene, and escape to the ferry......

Posted on 2006.03.18 at 17:54
Another note to friends saving screencaps:

I was so pleased with the way the new photo program could brighten very dark images without destroying their integrity, I also re-did two other scenes I had fine-tuned on my old program. These would be from the dark blue night scene, with the hobbits escaping from the Black Rider in the forest on their way to Buckleberry, and the scene in which Frodo is enquiring at the Bree gate.

Here are screencaps from each (for reference). The links to those screencap entries are underneath the respective images.

It really does do a great job, doesn't it? My old program couldn't do this at all. Unfortunately, it makes me want to go back and re-do every screencap. But I restrained myself, limiting my re-do's to the darkest images.

I just wish it could make an image into a really good line drawing! (*Shame-faced blush* -- since it's just for my x-rated artistic efforts to come)

You are welcome, Julchen. I was only sorry I hadn't found the program and the feature earlier! It is time-consuming to fix each one. But I think the results are worth it.

*happy sigh*
What a lovely treat to enlighten a sunday evening! Thank you!
BTW, may I take some pictures in order to make icons? I'll credit you, of course.

Well, of course you may! That's why I started posting all these caps, actually, rather than just creating files of them. I thought posting them would be a service to other admirers.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the work you are putting into such loveliness.

Thank you.

Thanks, Este. And I LOVE your icon. When I was reading the sex manual in the bath (the one I told about in the post about erotic illustrations), there was a section on having sex while on a swing. It sounded like such fun I thought I'd have to set Frodo and Rosamunda with one. Seriously (if I ever write it). I had always pictured there being a big swing hanging from the river willows below Shady Bank, anyway. Hmmmm.....

Frodo and Rosamunda on a swing, Mech??!!

Go on. I dare you. :p

I had been picturing a swing tryst for them, anyway, just because they'd be looking for ways not to get their clothes muddy on a wet day, sneaking off for a quickie while the kids were watching the telly, when Frodo was in Budgeford. I figured Rosamunda could sit on the swing, just as she might on a ledge of countertop. Very handy. She could hold onto him with her legs and he could hold her hips. But in the sex manual, they describe something else all together. The man sits on the swing and the woman straddles, him, facing. The in-out action is naturally provided, by the man pumping the swing. The rise and drop that naturally occurs from a swing, which is pleasurable anyway or we wouldn't love it, is supposed to greatly add to the feelings of euphoria for the woman. I thought it sounded great. I wish we had a swing!
