Hello, Maeglian (Gillian)!!! It's good to see you (virtually), too! You switched names because you added a fandom. Which is it? Perhaps the face in your icon is a clue, but I am (and have been) so out of the loop when it comes to what's on TV and showing at the movies, I can't really tell who that is. Forgive me! :)

Nothing to forgive! The icon shows Colin Morgan in his role in the TV show 'The Fall' where he played opposite Gillian Anderson (who on her part made me choose my new name—I also was a big X-files fan, back in the day.)

The "new" and current fandom is the BBC's Merlin, a silly but utterly charming show. Colin Morgan played Merlin. It's several years since the show ended (by killing off King Arthur on Christmas Eve, no less...), how time flies! But I've followed Colin since, and have had the opportunity to see him on stage in London several times, among other roles as Ariel in the Tempest at Shakespeare's Globe.

He had a moving role in the recent movie 'Testament of Youth', with Alicia Wikander in the main role as author Vera Brittain. That one very indirectly has a Tolkien connection, as it's a WW1 movie which depicts the horrors of the trenches and the senseless deaths of so many promising young men.

I'm happy to see you still holding the Tolkien banner aloft. :)

Thank you for the detailed reply, Maeglian. I will look Colin Morgan up. If you think he's good, he's good. :)
