Hi, Antane! I'm so glad that you liked the post so much. I like the poem a lot myself, since i don't write much in Arwen's 'voice', but i must mention that i was awed by Mechtild's intro. All the elements of these pieces are of equal importance, and i think this is an example of some of our best work!

Re the Kirk picture: I believe that it is Frodo. I say this because, if you look at Kirk's "Frodo Meditates" it looks very much like the hobbit in "The Last Ship"

I have a signed copy of a card-sized one of these and also a larger version which was actually painted (with changes to avoid copyright issues) by the same lady who did the commissions for me (Across So Wide A Sea and A Fairer Than Most Birthday)

I guess you could write to Tim and ask him if that is Frodo, but i think it is. And...i guess (for me) if it were Sam...well, that would make it just as special.

i have a Tim story: a few years back, we were up in H'wood, getting ready for a Hall of Fire. I was in the kitchen of the venue, putting snackies together, when a man came in, asking where there was an office supply store. I was really impatient and looked up snappishly. It was Tim Kirk!!!

I say (intelligently): "you're Tim Kirk!"

he says, "yes. Now...where is there a Staples?"
