Gosh, what a story! Did you go to a theatre in or near Chicago? I'm thinking you must live in that area, since you are going to see the concert-to-film performance this summer at Ravinia. What a storm you had, worse than here! We are in our third day of rain and wind, but the extreme winds are dying down. I haven't heard about power outages or major trees down. I've seen a young street tree that was snapped off, a big branch down here and there, but mostly lots of smaller branches and a lot of leafy debris lyinin the yards and streets. But the cells of the larger storm were so localized, rain hitting the windows like people throwing buckets of water against it for a while, then just wind, then more lashings of rain, maybe there were areas that did have the sort of damage you're describing and I just don't know about it. I'm glad you are safe.

Let me know if they re-show TTT. I sure hope you get to see it, after making it to the theatre for the performance. :)

I live in one of the northern suburbs. Storm only lasted a little bit but lots of people are still without power or have got it restored two days later, some are still waiting. The office I work out of lost power for two days. Just been cloudy mostly, not much more rain. Quite cool too which is a good thing for those that don't have a/c working - no need. Gotta love the planning of God here. But I hope the weather gets more seasonable once everyone is back to normal. Learned last night the movie has been rescheduled to Monday night - so very cool, TTT Monday and ROTK Tuesday. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Hope is on the way! The sun came out at last today, and I think this weather is headed your way. It's been raining or storming here since Monday. Everything sure is green, anyway. I hope power is restored to the rest of your area soon. I'd hate to be without electricity for that long. We have a gas furnace, but every other utility is powered by electricity.

As for your LOTR films next week, a back-to-back high-definition EE experience -- oh, wonderful! It sounds like a great scheduling idea.

Weather is to die for today - sunny and warm - just like it should be for summer! Power came back to the office yesterday, never lost it at home. Some homes were still without yesterday but hopefully back on today.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Yes, must spend some serious time on the balcony if I can! Soon will be going to eat outside at local mall. The only thing really keeping me back from balcony is the little matter of spending time at the library nominating a slew of jan-u-wine's masterpieces for the MEFA like I did last year. I am shooting myself in the foot here since I have one of my very rare poems nominated as well (inspired by hers) so have no hope of winning myself, but as they say, it's an honor just to be nominated. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Ha! I forgot all about it being MEFA time. I'll have to go over there one of these days and check to see what you've had nominated, and what you nominated of Jan's.

I'm headed outside, too. It's nice today again, but bad weather is predicted for tomorrow and the next day, or a chance of it. So I'd better enjoy the warm air while it lasts!
