Wow, their eyes are such a brilliant blue!! What great pics - they seem to have grown up so quickly:)

I do hope Angelo's kidney troubles aren't too serious. Our Beatrice, who is nearly 19, has severe kidney disease now and we know we won't have her for much longer. Her sister died of the same thing when she was 16. It's so sad but I know they've had really long lives in cat years - your Angelo is still quite young:)

Dear Beatrice, nineteen! I'm so glad you got to have her so long, and her sister (sixteen is the oldest any cat of ours has lived). I hope she is being kept as comfortable as is practicable. Getting old and dying, whether it is us or the people and animals we love, is no fun.

Thank you for asking after Angelo (the big baby). Kidney disease is a common bringer of death to aged cats, so we've been prepared for that, but not at nine years old. That's why we've been worried it's really a symptom of cancer yet to be revealed. In the meantime, he's still getting the IV fluids every week, which is tiresome and expensive, but his urine concentration has improved, so we're going to keep that up until March, then check him again and try tapering him off. I'd love him to just get better and be able to live normally again, or nearly-normally, with just the change in food and the special kidney supplement and no continual trips to the vet. We shall see!
