Poor Angelo. He's acting positively depressed. He's enjoying them sleeping with him at night very much, but he's very subdued and quiet, not his normal self at all. He was always flopping on the "love rug" before, beckoning us to come and pet him, preening in the foyer or on our beds as we walked by for the same reason, but now he doesn't. I think he doesn't trust the kittens not to jump him if he does. Hopefully he will be happy about them soon. It makes us a little sad to see he's not happy, since the whole idea was to get him new companions since he missed his buddies so much. Well, we, not only Angelo, must be patient. Thanks for your concern, Lavender.

Poor guy. Tell him I'm sending special stritches just for him because he's The Cutest and none for those little usurping demons. (-; Hopefully the bonding will take over soon. Maybe when he learns that, although they have more energy than him, he can sit on them.

He's doing fine with the kittens, actually, considering how much they jump all over him. We now think he's actually a little ill. Perhaps Angelo caught an adult version of their colds or something else from the cattery. He was quite low last night, making us worry, but this morning he seems a bit improved, even if his voice is still squeaky and strained.

Awwww, did you get him to the vet? A speedy recovery to him!

Thanks, Lavender. I'll pass along your get well wish to our Big Baby. But, no, I haven't taken him yet. I'm forcing myself to wait to see if he continues to improve. We've spent a fortune on vet bills in the past twelve months, including on Angelo, the Cat Who Lived. He had his teeth cleaned plus two extractions this summer, and in the spring the bill was almost 500.00 to find out he was seriously constipated (this was during the medical crises with Pixie and Raoul in May, a very stressful time for Angelo and for us all).

Coming up we've got to get Elsa spayed and both kittens innoculated for rabies, plus a distemper booster, that's another pile. I typically have taken our cats in to be seen for every little thing, most of them things that went away on their own.

Angelo, the Cat Who Lived.

Ahahahaha! I'm sure he would very much appreciate you getting him an owl of his very own. (-; Yes, you've got your hands full! Hope he's feeling better already.(-:
