The Shire Post has brought me two beautiful and unexpected Christmas cards from shirebound and julchen11. A very happy Christmas, sweeties, and thanks so much!

Ha ha! I got the idea from Julchen's card, which actually said "Shire Post" on the envelope, all done in the writing shown in fascimiles of the original Red Book.

Do you mean the one to Shirebound's comment or the one of Frodo and Santa Barliman? If so, I was worried it wouldn't "read" once it was cropped and shrunk to fit the required 100x100, but I like the way it turned out. You may use it if you want, Mews. Just credit it in your icon notes (or whatever that's called). :)

YAY! So The Shire Postman was very quick! :-)
I'm glad you like it, sweetie! :-)))

It was gorgeous. You know, Julchen, it was sitting out on the table, open, because I was looking at it again, and my daughter walked in and sat down to have a snack while I worked in the kitchen. I forgot the card was in there. "Wow!" she said from the dining room, "this writing is so cool! How can she write like this?" I told her a little about you and your calligraphy skills. She looked suitably impressed.
