I'm so glad you did this. It's wonderful to be able to see them all so easily. I still am just in awe of Frodo and the Enamoured Woman. So sensual. And "Frodo Before the Fire." It's so lovely.

Thanks, Mews. I've been meaning to do it for ages. I hate trawling through gobs of entries trying to find something, and the "Archives" feature is of little help. I use the "tags," but if no current post has the relevant tag, that's no use either. Also, someone told me the "tags" have a limited self-life.

You liked "Frodo Before the Fire"? Meeeeee too. But "Frodo and the Enamoured Woman" is definitely my favourite. It's beautiful to look at but, more, it's beautiful in spirit. They really seem to connect deeply in the picture, something that doesn't come off that often in a manip, or even in actual paintings and photographs. I am so lucky I ran across Metzner's photograph.

Thank you, Majblomma! It's been a long, fun journey, creating and tinkering with the Frodo art manips. I learned a lot about Frodo, art, LotR, you name it, especially after I started writing presentations for them on LJ.

Heck, if it hadn't been for wanting more faces to make them with, I never would have started making all those piles of screencap entries, also a source of great pleasure for me, and through which I learned a lot about my subject, writing up the presentations. And both the manips and the caps series inspired some wonderful poetry fic from jan-u-wine. So it's been well-worth it, in multiple ways.
